Our Organization
Traditional piano lessons spend too much time on music reading exercises and scales.
Playing an instrument should be fun and that’s what we do at Play N Music.
I learned the traditional classical way which was tough but I also learned pop and jazz and realized that when you are having fun, learning is easy! That is the key to playing the piano.
Our System
I know what it’s like to struggle with technical details and I can help you enjoy yourself, relax and learn. I have written a system for learning that 25 years of successful students have loved and use to this day.

About Me
Hi, I am Fintan O’Neill and I created the Play N Music System with which we use your choice of music, chords and your own creativity to learn.
As a very experienced jazz pianist and recording artist (Itunes, Amazon Music, Spotify ) who has performed at Carnegie Hall and jazz clubs in five countries, I offer beginner piano to advanced classes in Music Theory, Composition, Jazz, Professional Piano, Band Arranging and College Course Prep.

Lessons Include
Once per week 30 minute private lesson at Play N Music studio at the Astoria Dance Center or online class on Zoom, Facetime or Google. (Classes follow the NYC DOE calendar for holidays )
Music books, game sheets and video tips.
All students get to perform publicly twice per year. ( Covid restrictions permitting ).
No contracts.
Prep for specialized high schools, Associated Board exams, NYSSMA auditions.
Advanced Classes are available in Music Theory, Composition, Jazz, Professional Piano, Band Arranging and College Course Prep.
